  2. 1. In what ways do you feel connected with staff members at Kearney?

I feel professionally connected to some staff members who I have worked with closely in the past and/or who have helped me with my responsibilities. I feel personally connected with some members who have befriended me.

I enjoy the company of most of the staff members at KMS. In every situation, people will gravitate toward certain people, but generally I get along with everyone at least on a professional level.

I feel connected to the staff at KMS because I feel that we are all dedicated to the
    achievement of our students.

    2. In what ways do you feel connected with staff members apart from your team at Kearney?

I feel connected with members who have assisted me with sponsorships or other activities. I feel connected with members who I admire for their professionalism.

This is my 5th year in the building so I’ve had plenty of opportunity to get to know people around the building.

I have hallway conversations with staff members that are not on my team and always try to say hello.

    3. How can we become more connected as a staff at Kearney?

There is a high degree of turnover at this school so it would be difficult. I would suggest having shorter meetings so that relationships may develop. There is never any time to do everything that needs to be done.

Food usually works. I’ve participated in Friday breakfast club before where one staff member (or two) provides a spread one time/year for the rest of the staff. People gather and eat and socialize once/week over coffee and bagels. It’s nice!

Between planning my lessons, creating materials, doing the UA program, creating IB units, making sure that I am using T4S strategies, preparing for data meetings, collecting data, implementing strategies for the SMART goal, seeing students during lunch, and doing necessary collaboration with PARAs and our special education team, I don't have much time to become more connected...

    4. If you had a concern, would you know whom to go to for support/would you feel comfortable seeking support?

    Yes.

Yes. I’d most likely start with the individual staff person and then speak with either Katharine or Shelli.

I feel extremely comfortable seeking support.
